About Our Team

Dr. Deborah De Santis-Moniaci

Clinical Psychologist & Owner

A native New Yorker, Dr. De Santis-Moniaci, known to her patients as Dr. De Santis, is proud to be working in her community. She is a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychologist who founded Ridge Psychological in 2017.  Since then, she has expanded her services to include two convenient office locations in Park Slope and Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Dr. De Santis offers neuropsychological assessment services for children, teens, and young adults and therapy services.

Dr. De Santis completed her undergraduate studies at New York University where she graduated summa cum laude with a double major in Psychology and Philosophy. After gaining work experience, Dr. De Santis returned to her studies and completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology. She attended Long Island University for her doctoral studies before going on to her clinical internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan.

For more than a decade, Dr. De Santis shared time between working in NYC hospitals and offering her neuropsychological assessment and therapy services in private practice. Dr. De Santis enjoyed both the challenge of working in a fast paced hospital setting where she partnered with clients to quickly assess their needs and working with individuals one-on-one to help them achieve their goals.  Since 2019, Dr. De Santis has dedicated her time to her full time private practice work.

Dr. Vaysman earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and political science from Hunter College (CUNY) and her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University at Albany (SUNY).  She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Andrus Children’s Center Outpatient Department where she was trained in evidenced based treatment approaches like trauma-informed approaches to treatment and specialty treatment approaches, such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

After finishing her education, Dr. Vaysman worked as a staff psychologist for an urban law enforcement agency where she conducted psychological evaluations and provided emergency on-call services. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Vaysman held appointments as an adjunct professor and has been involved in national conference presentations and professional publications in the areas of child psychopathology, health psychology, and developmental psychology.
